It was an exciting day of finals for Rowing Ireland at the 2025 European Rowing Under 23 Championships in Račice, Czechia, with both the Men’s and Women’s Eights lining up in their A Finals.
The Men’s Eight delivered a powerful performance, finishing 4th in a time of 05:51.22. They crossed the line ahead of Spain and Poland, with gold going to Romania, silver to Czechia, and bronze to Italy. The crew showed great determination against some of Europe’s strongest boats and highlighted the depth of talent emerging through Ireland’s pathway.

The Women’s Eight also impressed, securing 4th place in their A Final with a time of 06:37.67. They finished ahead of Spain, with Czechia taking gold, Romania silver, and Austria bronze. This young crew produced a fantastic effort, gaining invaluable experience at international level and proving themselves highly competitive on the European stage.
