In 2025, Konan won a bronze medal at the European Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and the World Cup II in Lucerne, Switzerland in the M2x alongside Fintan McCarthy.

In 2023, Konan raced in the M4x at the World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

In 2022, he won bronze in the BM2x at the U23 World Rowing Championships alongside Brian Colsh. The pair went on to claim gold in the same event at the 2023 U23 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv.

Konan joined Rowing Ireland’s high-performance pathway in 2020, moving to Queen’s University Belfast to study Biological Sciences.

Originally from Switzerland, Konan started rowing at Club de l’Aviron Nyon, initially as a hobby. He later became more competitive, winning silver and bronze at the Swiss Junior Championships (Junior 17 and Junior 19). Konan was then selected to represent Switzerland in the 4x at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in both 2018 and 2019.
