The 2025 Irish Coastal Rowing Championships were officially launched on Friday, July 25th at the Garryvoe Hotel, with an excellent turnout from rowing clubs across the country. The atmosphere on the night was lively and welcoming, with great energy from attendees, including a strong showing from younger members of the rowing community, all eager in anticipation of the upcoming event.

This year, the Championships will be hosted by Ballycotton Rowing Club – one of the youngest clubs affiliated with Rowing Ireland. The club has taken on this significant responsibility with great enthusiasm and commitment. Over the past several months, the Ballycotton team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the event is delivered to the highest standard.

The 2025 Championships will take place at the National Rowing Centre in Farran, County Cork, on Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th. Racing will begin at 8:30 AM on both days.

The event is being organised under the direction of the Coastal Division of Rowing Ireland, in close collaboration with the Championship Committee, the Regatta Director, and a dedicated regatta team – all of whom deserve recognition for their hard work and professionalism in the lead-up to the event.
